The tree of Light is a special event held annually in Durban. This unique ceremony is one of our most important appeals of the year. We got back to a traditional Tree of Light last year, and hope to welcome you to a bigger and better event this year.  Get your Globe Here

We will also be streaming the lighting of the Tree, as it has become a popular way of sharing a special moment with those that can’t be physically together.  We received the most amazing feedback from our streamed events over the last few years, and are more than happy to keep you included in this way.

We plan to be at Jameson Park around 5pm on the traditional first Friday of December, the 5th.  We expect you to bring your usual picnic goodies, mates and kids to soak up the music and fun.  We will have food stalls available should you prefer to buy food at the park?  The 9,000 globes on the tree is lit at 19h00, and will shine throughout the month in memory of your loved ones. So if you would like to remember a special someone this year, please let us have your donation of R60.00 per globe.

The form attached, or online below allows your personal dedication to be added to the Book of Remembrance, and on our platforms to share the love. We will be accepting video submissions as well as text online through the website.
