Ever thought, “I would love to support Hospice, but I need to be careful with my money.” Having cared for those with little to no money, we understand that financial planning is critical to quality of life. We also see every day, those passing away and thereby leaving all their possessions and wealth behind in the earthly world. A beautiful, meaningful way to support our patients after your lifetime is to become a legend. You can build your legacy in a planned and deliberate way by contemplating your choices early in life.
Many people have life policies, endowments, investments and the like for a “rainy day” or for retirement planning. If you pass away before you need these provisions, you are able to pass them to people to enhance their quality of life. It is a touching and deeply personal tribute to leave your wealth to those in need. You can choose that your reserves are used, not for cruises, travel or expensive items, but for medications, food, dressings and care. Your generosity is well leveraged as Hospice does not pay taxes on the donations received, so your money goes a long way! Speak to your financial planner to assist you with such decisions regarding financial provisions?
You can also leave other value in the form of your will as a bequest to our patients. All and any form of capital or assets can be left to fund patient care. You can choose to leave it as you feel fit, and able to split resources with other beneficiaries. Your house, furniture, household contents, shares or paintings can be converted to comfort and dignity because of your decisions.
“But godliness with contentment is great gain, or we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. 1 Timothy 6:6
